The island exists in our minds. Some call it worlds, cities, continents, places. Mine is neither so large or so small. An island will do just fine....with some thoughts about "Victory".

Handkerchief Prince, Saito-san

The handkerchief prince's handkerchiefs. It seems that the company that made the hand towels that the winning pitcher of the Japan high school baseball assoc summer tournament stopped making the particular blue hand towel he uses to dab his face after pitching, while on the mound. So, of course there is a black market for these towels. The real thing sold for 430 yen, Can you guess what one on the Japanese on-line auction site sold for? Ok, it isn't an insane amount..but still a really good profit if you had bought a box and kept them in their plastic wrapping and then tried to sell them now.

Is the place in Wilmette the Bahai'i temple? That is quite an amazing building. I had a friend who invited me to go surfing in Winnetka today, but I couldn't. I will make it up there sometime. How is Japan?
