The island exists in our minds. Some call it worlds, cities, continents, places. Mine is neither so large or so small. An island will do just fine....with some thoughts about "Victory".

Well, This is where I'll be tomorrow. This is the train station about 5 stops from here. Those students are waiting to go in towards (up) Tokyo, for whatever reason. This is the end of the class day, when I took this picture from the opposite side. Probably some of my students are standing over there. I am headed back away from Tokyo (in Japanese "down direction") , this is more of the real Japan I see every day, than the temples and such you see on postcards. Notice the beautiful colors of the station.

This is a real comment.

I just found your blog while I was reading Baghdad Treasure. Are you in Japan teaching or are you Japanese?

I am trying to update my blog more. Stop by if you get a chance!
